So been on the #JaiLang exploratory grind for the past day-or-so after the recent QA VOD (that I still haven't watched yet, lol) got released -- to try to get a better understanding of the ethos around the language; Aesthetically it's really appealing to me, and have very few quibbles (which is impressive because I'm a known syntax-snob). Metaprogramming looks really solid, with first-class #CTFE & hygienic-#macros, and it certainly has a strong focus in an area of interest (#Gamedev) so ...

I’m still amazed at how fast #Jai is. An Jon complains that it got slower recently, slow meaning 1.4s 😂 he wants to go back to 0.7s as last year.
The sad thing is that we find this incredible.

Very interesting to see an update about compile time "macros" and how that experiment is going.
I'm not beta tester but that's a part I'm very interested in.

I really, really like the #syntax of all the new / contemporary #C-like languages that are coming out. #Jai, #Odin, #Cppfront, etc.

Really feels a lot lighter / nicer than C in a lot of ways.

(On a side-note ... when is the public beta coming out for #JaiLang. Like better not end up as a #HL3 style meme lol)
