I live in a condominium that happens to be surrounded by Japanese Maples. They leafed out a couple of week ago and are now covered with tiny inconspicuous flowers, and bees. Thousands of bees, adding a murmur, a steady background hum to everything outside. They aren't aggressive and they mind their own business. I look forward every year to them returning to harvest pollen from our beautiful trees.
