Here's a gorgeous image. It's by printmaker from 1856 and is called "Jūmantsubo Plain at Fukagawa Susaki" from his series of "100 Famous Views of Edo". But I've always just called it 'eagle & snow'.

I've had a poster of this woodblock print in my bedroom since 1984 & I wake up to it every morning.

Composed with such economy, to my eyes it's almost perfect.
