#jardiance is $1700 for a 30 day supply without insurance. I told the doctor I can't afford that. He sent #januvia and said that would be cheaper. It's cheaper all right. $1500 for a 30 day supply.

Dr. put me on #jardiance. $1700 without insurance. $575 on #goodrx. Am desperately scrambling to get #insurance now. But do not qualify via healthcare.gov

@RadicalRuss And, oddly, that #television commercial for The General (insurance) with #Shaq playing with a kid also didn't have the voice over track, so Shaq's just mouthing words at me. I think he is saying "The General can insure your car, but he can't ensure that #Jardiance won't cause fatal taint rot."

I know. I'm fixated. But I've done many drugs. Never was I warned fatal taint rot was a possible risk. Surprised #Reagan never tried that. /3

@RadicalRuss Oh, you didn't know that popular #diabetes drug #Jardiance (and #Farxiga, too) can cause fatal taint rot? Oh, sure, they say "a rare but sometimes life-threatening bacterial infection of the perineum has been known to occur," but I know fatal taint rot when I see it. I mean, the English description of such, as I've not actually seen a corpse's rotted taint.

We are having the oddest TV experience right now. Watching Saturday morning over-the-air Jack Hanna show. Tons of #pharmaceutical ads, because #America, fuck yeah! But for some reason, the voice over track has been muted, leaving only scenes of happy people recreating to cheesy branded theme music, with just the captioned fine print standing in for the missing voice over. How will illiterate people ever know that #Jardiance can cause fatal taint Rot? /1

My husband (Type II #diabetes) has been taking #L-Arginine herbal supplement for a long time now. It helps, although not as much as his #Metformin .

Recently, when his usual meds were not keeping up, the doctor added #Jardiance to his medicine regiment. That helped A LOT, it helped more than anything before had done.

He's also found some "zero sugars" cookies, so he can have some kind of sweet treat without as much problem.
