After getting into Isbell & the 400 via S/T (If We Were Vampires is just outstanding), I found Reunions to be a touch underwhelming & a little dad-rock-lite, truth be told. On a first listen, this is a lot more to my taste. #StrawberryWoman & #WhiteBeretta are standout.

#JasonIsbell constantly gets told to “shut up and sing” because he tackles social issues in his song writing and I am glad he doesn’t listen because they are topics that need to be addressed head on.

Also I’ve noticed that the “shut up and sing” criticism always comes from people who disagree with him. Funny that
