When a people are demoralized, abused, othered, & have less opportunities to work, their mental health suffers and behaviors become reactive, fear and anger based, to no fault of their own, & negative stereotypes get reinforced, bc of the systemic hate, thus the cycle of the scapegoat. The perpetrators lies become the fascist version of ‘truth’.

They see it as a “threat to their dominant (social, economic, political, and cultural)
status.”

“The exploitation of the feeling of victimization, by dominant groups”…” is a universal element of contemporary intl fascist politics.”

Ergo, IMO—low or no empathy in this mind set.

#ConspiracyTheory (CT)–“aimed at some out-group and in the service of some in-group.”

“To denigrate & delegitimize their targets by connecting them SYMBOLICALLY to problematic acts.”

“They’re so outlandish…they can hardly expect to be believed…Their function is to raise general suspicion..”

“Used to delegitimize the mainstream media.” (So they appear biased). Until, for instance, they #FoxNews promote the conspiracy theories.

Of course #Trump is going to present himself as a martyr now that he's a criminal defendant. He's always presented himself as a victim, because one of the basic pillars of #Fascism is that white men are under attack at all times.

Prosecutors haven't made a bluder by allowing Trump to play the martyr. He was going to do it anyway. He was already doing it, and he always will.

I keep hearing "Trump is insane" and "Republicans are tired of the insanity," and both of those propositions are false.

Of course not. #Fascists don't change their minds based on new facts, instead facts are changed to support their beliefs. One of the pillars of #Fascism is the whole idea that there is no objective truth. That's why Trump is undisputed leader of the #Republican Party. That's why #KellyanneConway somehow still has a career.
