My only complaint about this #GLguitars MJ-4 #jazzbass is that I've been experimenting with the EQ and I can't tell exactly where the knobs are without going back to center. 😶

This thing does have a range of incredible sounds. 😻
I can turn up the mids and highs a bit for a punchy, aggressive sound that lets some fret buzz through or turn them down and get a softer but, still heavy sound.
Or just about whatever else I want from it.

Wife found me a beat up #fretless #fender at a #yardsale.

Sadly it was a mess, #bridge was shot, neck was twisted, the nut was filed below the #fretboard... no lie...!

So I ordered some replacement parts from #Fender directly... a new #HiMass bridge, a new "fretted" #JazzBass neck, some slick #nutfiles from #NomadMusic (slots on the neck are guides only) and some #DR #BlackBeauties

It turned out awesome...!

It weighs exactly 1lb heavier than my go to staple #Spector...

I started playing bass only a few years ago and my first bass guitar was this cheap Stagg Jazz Bass that I didn’t really get along with. The full-scale neck proved difficult to play in the beginning and the whole instrument felt too huge, so I never played it much. It also sounds somewhat unexciting and even today I refer to it as the big black beast, although I can play it much better now. I’m not particularly attached to it, so I may sell it someday. #guitar #bass #bassguitar #jazzbass #stagg
