#JazzTimes just copied and pasted a press release from Blue Note and called it an article.
The memorial to #WayneShorter in the otherwise worthy #JazzTimes is shockingly bad. It is written by a *senior editor*, which makes me want to call the offices down there and make sure everyone is OK.
The misuse of punctuation, failure to grasp quotation marks, inaccuracies, the incoherent ideas--it's all just a disgrace to Wayne's memory. It looks like Donald Trump handled the capital letters. It's like a middle school essay.
I'll give examples in the comments.

What's going on with this obit for late #jazz master #WayneShorter in #JazzTimes? It's like a bunch of hipster clichés tossed in a blender with very little historical context. ChatGPT could have written this. Shorter and the jazz community deserved better. https://jazztimes.com/features/tributes-and-obituaries/in-memoriam-wayne-shorter/

The “Farewell” column in this month’s JazzTimes is just brutal. Pharoah Sanders, Butch Thompson, Ramsey Lewis, Creed Taylor, Joey DeFrancesco, jaimie branch, Anton Fier, Sue Mingus, Ronnie Cuber, and others. #jazz #jazztimes
