47 years ago I was at the wheel of a car suddenly encountering a firetruck responding to a call and dragging a hose.

No means of avoiding the hose and heavy nozzle flailing on the end of it. Barely time to tell my passenger to duck and close their eyes.

The car was severely damaged. We laughed it off-- at the time.

If they get Trump's DNA today, It may be possible to prosecute him for the E. Jean Carroll rape if it matches. I am not a lawyer but it is my understanding that the statute of limitations can be removed if there is new evidence to consider.
Even if he can't still be prosecuted, the DNA would still prove he raped her. That would mean more recent rape victims of Trump would have corroborating evidence that he is indeed a rapist.

Everyone is talking about the indictment and the perp walk of Trump but what about the DNA sample?
The E, Jean Carroll rape defamation lawsuit wants Trump's DNA. If there is a subpoena for his DNA and he is getting booked at the jail on other charges, they can just take it from him at the jail.
NYC doesn't require DNA from everyone who gets arrested but while he is in custody getting fingerprinted and mugshots taken, the courts could simply refuse to let him leave the jail without providing a DNA sample.
He is a flight risk so the courts have justification to hold him without bail.
