After the rear 4-link conversion, my XJ needs a rear sway bar. I'm using a WJ rear sway bar, but installing it in the front of the axle (vs. the WJ's rear-axle position). I've made some custom brackets for the axle-side and tacked those in. The body-side is complicated though - XJ's don't have a frame and the body is largely just sheet metal. You can see in the photos that there's a fold in the metal where I want the mount to go. So I gotta make a box. To be continued. #jeep #jeepxj #fabrication
The "air up" process is kind of bitter sweet. It means the trail is over and we're about to go our separate ways. It also usually means lunch/dinner with close friends where we talk about how much fun we just had.
My rear coils were rubbing against my chassis. I spent some time moving the lower perch over about 3/8” so that i can drive in peace haha.

This was basically my life from October 2022 until the day before EJS in April 2023.
Front axle swap for a 78 Bronco Dana 44 - full tear-down and rebuild. The rear axle was also regeared and got new bearings and a locker seal.
This week, I got it back from the alignment shop and it drives. Still some loose ends to wrap up, but I'm sooooo close.
We barely avoided the storm. It got windy but never rained on us.

Sometimes the trips I go on come together at the last minute. On this particular trip, we left at around midnight and arrived at our campsite around 3am.
For some reason, I grabbed my camera and took photos instead of sleeping. Even though we were driving again by 9am, this was one of my all time favorite trips.
