4/ i learned this #JehovahsWitness girl took longer than 4-years finish an #EarlyChildhood #education program and barely graduated #college, had a baby outside of marriage, foreclosed on two houses, and had a reputation for sleeping around. none of these things matter, really. however, for someone who was lauded as the picture of human perfection, and who abused and bullied kids based on her presumed perfection… i felt some strong schadenfreude. really… i was ecstatic.

her #mom is a #JehovahsWitness, who has—for a lifetime—tried to convert my #mother. in recent years, the proselytizing was ramped up, likely as all of them are getting older, and the JW claims to want my mother’s company “in the new system” after all of them die.

I just want a job where I can be me. I don't want to dress any way other than how I dress. I want to be able to express when I am mad, sad, elated, etc. I need to be me after decades of being a #jehovahswitness cult member. I need to be me more than ever, but I still have to have a job to survive, and that means my idea of "me" has to be shelved for certain parts of each day. #fucked.
