There's a #Wikipedia article about #JenAngel thanks to @jessamyn and @kwooten! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jen_Angel
We'd love if someone can help by uploading a photo of Jen to Wikimedia Commons that we can use in the info panel. DM me if you want support doing that!
When I first started making these little #FabricCollage pieces (still not quite sure what to call them), my dear friend #JenAngel requested one. I found a nice shadow box frame for it.

Grief doesn't go in a straight line. Today it has risen and walking through it has been like walking through waist-deep water over sharp rocks.
Today I've been thinking about the plans Jen and I were forming for our old age. We thought we should all buy units in her condominium complex, so we could share common outdoor space and have each other next door.
If it does happen, Jen won't be part of it. And that's just not fair. She was supposed to get old along with the rest of us.
My friend Jen Angel changed my life in so many ways. And she is still changing lives.

I'd like to organize a NYC/East Coast gathering to remember #JenAngel. If I have even one partner, I'll go ahead with it. Will you reply publicly or DM if you're interested?
I can host the event at the Barnard Zine Library for free, so there shouldn't be any fundraising involved.
Found all the Clamor magazine and copies of Fucktooth that the #Prelinger Library holds and set them aside for some friends to see (RIP #JenAngel
Lovely tribute to #JenAngel from alternative/radical literature librarian Chris Dodge. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/life-death-jen-angel-chris-dodge/
“California Bakery Owner Dies After Violent Attack in Broad Daylight,” one headline screams.
“Jen Angel, Beloved Media Activist, Writer, and Oakland Baker, Dies at 48,” Democracy Now! states calmly.
Those two headlines say so much in their difference.
A very good remembrance of Jen Angel. I didn't ever know her, except as the owner of the fantastic little bakery down the street from the circus place, but it was clear from the kinds of people I see there that she was a special person.

So much of the initial media coverage was about Jen Angel as a baker.
This @CrimethInc story tells the other half, including her work on Clamor, the Midwest Zine Fair (a precursor to the Allied Media Conference), and Aid and Abet:

It's a must-read, and doesn't include all her projects like the SF Bay Area Radical History Project series (here's the schedule: https://web.archive.org/web/20131220135324/https://bayarearadicalhistory.wordpress.com/).
#JenAngel died yesterday. 💔🏴✊🏽
A statement from her family and friends is included in this article from The Oaklandside.

Devastated to hear that Jen Angel of Angel Cakes has passed away after injuries from a robbery. I’ve had so many cupcakes from them, and I hope that the staff will continue on in her memory.

I knew of #JenAngel through her #zine Fucktooth back in the day and she’s now part of community in the Bay Area that includes close friends. I wish her a full recovery and all healing wishes.
