RIP. Jerry Blavat was Philly's Art Laboe, the DJ who did dedications, played the oldies, and loved his fans. I started listening to him on a teeny AM station in high school, went to his "hops" (at the Chez Vous roller rink), and worked with him 10 yrs later at WCAU-FM. One of a kind.
