I think I figured that out. I don't know why I was so stupid before. DOM inspector. Pshaw. It comes from #jetpack 99.9% sure.

@josir Meu site usa Wordpress (self-hosted). O contador é o Jetpack, que é um conjunto de plugins desenvolvido pela mesma Automattic do WordPress.com. Ao que me consta, ele só grava um cookie para diferenciar as visitas únicas.

Interestingly the current stable version of #Jetpack Navigation (2.7.0) and other #AndroidX libraries require compile SDK 34 while this is not supported by the current stable version of #AGP (8.1.0). It works, although the #Android Gradle Plugin gives a warning.

@jake Maybe #AI was the reason #WordPress created the #Jetpack app‽

That would make sense, as including #ArtificialIntelligence in the main WordPress app would cause an uproar.

@jake Thanks! Ironically the #WordPress app also crashed too! 😂 However, it automatically saved the post into a draft which was super helpful.

The only thing I do not like about the WordPress app is that they have migrated stats to their new #JetPack app, the latter whose existence is puzzling.

Oddly, I can't find it in my Jetpack dashboard yet, but you can access some of the settings in Settings > Reading and Jetpack > Subscribers. Both are more easily viewed in the Wordpress.com dashboard than your primary site admin, which makes me think they may have announced it prematurely. 🤷

@uastronomer @darnelltv Yeah, it’s similar except that #WordPress only emails me if my blog receives a #Fediverse mention. The Fediverse mention is not displayed or shown in any of the stat/activity pages which is odd (not even within the #Jetpack app). It’s weird.

Oh wow! I discovered if someone mentions your #Fediverse handle for your #WordPress blog (if the #ActivityPub plugin is enabled), you receive an email alert along with a permalink to the post.

This is great (I wish #WriteFreely had something like this), but I wish the notifications came from the app (either WordPress or the dreaded #Jetpack app) & not via email, as that can be overwhelming.

Mit Düsenrucksack durchs Wasser schweben - wer sagt, dass Jetpacks nur in der Luft funktionieren? Auch unter Wasser kann man schweben. An einem Tragegeschirr aus Neopren befestigt, das eng am Körper getragen wird: Der Antrieb besteht aus zwei Düsen, durch die Wasser ausgestoßen wird. Damit kann eine Person mit knapp 11 km/h durchs Wasser schweben und 40 Meter tief tauchen.
