Listening to Martyn Ware's Electronically Yours interview with Alex Patterson of The Orb. If I'm following properly he was a roadie with the original Killing Joke, and Youth introduced him to Jimmy Cauty who was part of the original The Orb and obviously KLF (etc). None of which I knew.

When I began reading ?, about the life of radical undertaker I didn't know what to expect and was surprised by the depth of my learning and page after page of deeply touching, often bizarre and comedic scenes he recounts.

It's the most amazing book I've (almost) read.

Even after so much of this, I wasn't expecting it to culminate by bringing together death-themed magic & performance art with : &

Home Life : once upon a time when I lived alone, my home was a like a gallery with rooms covered in collages & artwork by myself and others plus cuttings from various zines & magazines. When I became a family man and we had children, a lot of the artwork deemed “not for little eyes” was set aside but to this day, with the kids grown up, I still find spaces within our home to have a personal gallery here & there
