2️⃣ A new team of Guardians is formed, peopled by characters we know from the regular series. Their battle in this story is very much a by-the-numbers affair. Boring. They will appear again in a few issues of the regular series, before getting their own mini-series in 2 years. This is not a great start.

1️⃣ #Galactus, #Firelord, #Eon, and... the #SilverSurfer!

2️⃣ The Guardians get a little lost in the middle of this story. But it’s a cool story, so I’m not complaining. The guest stars impress. A lot. And the action is thrilling. Plus, there’s some foreshadowing of things to come.

1️⃣ GotG battle Silver Surfer. Briefly. Then they chat for 7 pages.

2️⃣ SS impresses. No matter what century. He’s easily the best thing about this issue.

3️⃣ The first 8 pages are character driven. Nice moments for all of the regulars.

4️⃣ Plenty of recapping/flashbacking in the final pages and the setting-up of a promising conflict. Next issue.
