Chapter three of 'the same last name and the same colour eyes' is up :) Back to Jin Zixuan's point of view as he and Jin Guangyao meet up with Jiang Yanli and Wei Wuxian in an inn in Lanling city. Jin Zixuan is doing his damnedest to propose/get his engagement renewed.
Meanwhile Jin Guangyao is facilitating and also (in the background) trying to recruit Wei Wuxian to teach the Jins demonic cultivation.

It's happening! I am decorating the Jiang Yanli/Jin Zixuan cake! Here's a progress shot. Using a failed buttercream as the crumbcoat because I am covering it with fondant later.
(For an actually great buttercream recipe, I used Ann Reardon's 1-to-5 ratio buttercream without adding anything else. This is a trust the process recipe, but fuck, that buttercream will not move once it sets. Arm workout level intense, though.
