It's become shorthand to bash J.K. Rowling as a transphobe - so many people are repeating it online that other people take it as truth. I actually read her long blog post where she clearly affirms trans people while raising real, nuanced, legit concerns about how we all move forward. The Internet does not do nuance well, and an activist fringe seeks to score points by demonizing her. Actually read it, think about it, or else STFU.
