Mimestream is a solid macOS native Gmail client, sadly *only* supports Gmail at the moment…

Swift Mail seems to be the equivalent for email services like Fastmail that use JMAP. It's in beta but seems very promising so far.

@brnrs definitely! 🙌 I been on the same boat. I want to create something email centric. But the amount of jankiness in #IMAP and direct #SMTP is always an annoyance. #JMAP makes things considerably simpler.

Did a POC with it and made me banish the other two from my brain almost instantaneously. 😂

I'm now reading #JMAP #RFC8621 to get a feel. You know, to 'just' make an #Elixir impl. 😅

Though likely instead to use one of the #Rust impl and wrap with a #NIF. 😛 Would be easier too and lets me brush up my rust.

Still. Reading the RFC can only help have a well grounded base. Something I lecture constantly people to do. 😆

@ocdtrekkie I keep waffling on #JMAP!

On the one hand, I want to support it. On the other hand, it's such an opinionated spec that it practically dictates your database schema to you at times, and that just makes me uncomfortable (especially since I'm not using a RDBMS).
