After driving down from #JMoF2023, @snares and I settled into our accommodation in Yokohama.

Hotel Mets is a hotel chain owned by the Japan Rail (JR) Company, and they’re located within close proximity to major train stations.

This one had a steam locomotive located at the ground floor. Super cool, and very convenient.

It was amazing to observe the growth of #JMoF2023, especially considering that it was one of the first few conventions that I was exposed to.

As sad as it was to come to the end of an amazing convention, it was just the beginning of our time in #Japan. P

There’s nothing quite like leather, fur, and raw horsepower.

It’s not everyday you get to see a DeLorean, but the organisers at #JMoF2023 somehow managed to find one and park it in one of the convention halls.

Watch these bundles of joy turn into something delicious.

It is simply a joy to see the masters of their craft at work, turning raw ingredients into something that warms and comforts the soul.

Yakisoba: stir fried noodles served with either pork or chicken and heap full of vegetables.

Okonomiyaki: a savoury pancake consisting of wheat flour batter, cabbage, and ingredients like seafood and meat, topped with a sweet sauce, bonito, and mayonnaise.

Upon a hot griddle stove deep in the suburbs of Toyohashi #Japan, driven to hunger on our ongoing quest for #JMoF2023, @snares chanced upon this hidden gem where our lunch awaited us.

Sizzling away, noodles and a thick slurry of deliciousness beckoned us, the sound instantly striking a chord with our stomachs.

The warmth drew us in, and the friendliness of the proprietors made us feel comfortable. A working class food made luxurious.

This time, a quaint little cafe selling canelé and coffee.

The warmth of the sun trickling in through the windows with an interior accented with wood and bare concrete gives it such an atmosphere.

It always super cool to see signages to your local furry convention displayed in a major transportation hub, like the Toyohashi train station.

There was one outside the fare gates for the local trains, and another for the Shinkansen! Super cool!

#SingaporeAirlines continues to be one of the best carriers in the sky. And the #AirbusA350 remains one of my favourite ways to cross oceans and seas.

Flying in tiger Kigu back to California from Tokyo after #JMoF2023, then on to #FC2023 tonight. We left VividWah at Narita awaiting his flight, and @Saigon is next to me. The required parting tears were shed.
