Few jobs outside of clerical work will be destroyed in the AI-near term, but our work will definitely be augmented and changed. What matters is how we do this: what split of freed up time will go to allowing humans to do more creative, exploratory work and how much will expectations of outputs simply rise to compensate?

Develop your abilities and your awareness of what you have and what you need, what you might need in the future. We rely on technology that in one massive error or failure could be gone for months, or ever. The knowledge to survive without electricity, central heating, internet based devices- this knowledge could save your life and your family.

It doesn't even have to be a disaster. It can be sudden job loss with no plan B. We are seeing it everywhere, 1000s and 1000s suddenly have no paycheck next month. How long before you are cancelling services, turning the heat down or off, rationing groceries. The more you know, the wider range of experiences you have, the better able you are to walk into an uncertain future.
