So... Broccoli fitters and veg red sauce. Probably needed a bit more of a punch, like some cumin or something like in the fritter, but either way, a nice, reasonably easy weekday meal 😁👌

When you have a white choc custard mousse on a white choc rice crispies base, surrounded by a dragon fruit cheesecake... You have a happy wife.

Another in the line of recipes to hide and use up bits and pieces. This time a rolled baked cabbage in garlic, smoked paprika, thyme and cayenne pepper flavoured tomato sauce. Loved the idea of mixing in already cooked rice. I've made this before with raw rice, and it never seems to cook all the way through (properly).

Tis still the season for gluttony as the 2023 Bdays kick off. Youngest requested and a cake that had ganache. So I had a go at making Dominique Ansel's Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch cake.

It was all delicious, but none of us can eat another bite....so....full... 😁👍

Dinner is often the end result of a collection of random choices. Had butternut pumpkin to use up so I chopped it up & started roasting it in the oven w/ some garlic & thyme. Then in my cast iron I diced & fried onion, mushroom & cauliflower before adding tomato paste, deglazing w/ white wine. That went into a larger pot with a few blended cans of tomato & some chicken stock. Then crumbed & shallow fried chicken thigh slices in parm, panko, flour, s&p. All topped w/ parm

You know you take afternoon snackage a little too seriously when a) you portion control popcorn, b) you measure and grind a spice mix finer so it sticks to the popcorn without needing butter, c) you layer the spice mix and toss through, d) you eat popcorn with chopsticks, e) All of the above.... O_o
