Hello! I'm a #JobSeeker looking to #GetFediHired for my first corporate job since graduating from college in December 2020.

My job preferences are already stated in my #LinkedIn profile, but I'll expand upon them here.

I'm mainly considering any part-time #Remote positions related to #WebDev, #WebDesign, #GraphicDesign, #Blogging, #Podcasting, etc.

I've always been interested in technology & design ever since my teen years, so having the opportunity to work for a company in that field would be an honor.

Since I have an official autism diagnosis under my belt, I'm willing to work through obtaining any necessary accommodations with future bosses & managers to ensure that I can be a highly productive employee.

As a #JobSeeker, I'm well aware of the intense competition out there. It's quite possible that my applications are rejected during the initial screenings.

While I understand that HRs utilize automated tools for sending out rejection emails, it leaves me disheartened when the sender's address is:

Do I know anyone who is currently hiring for a junior IT or cloud role? I know someone who is just starting their journey in this world, having done 2 AWS qualifications so far, and is actively studying towards 2 more. They've already spent over 10 years working in education, and have done IT support for a number of small charities, and are looking to make a sideways leap.  They have some Python knowledge, and currently with minimal Linux experience, but is looking to learn.

If anyone knows of anyone hiring someone like this, who doens't have so much specific sector experience, but is a fast learner, and has other professional experience, please do let me know.

I'm a disabled Indigenous queer person who exists on Jobseeker, which means almost 50% ($269/week) below the poverty line ($489/week).

After living in the same house for almost 10 years, I recently had to move as the new landlords decided to renovate so they could increase the rent.

Moving has cost me over $4000, and ended up putting me almost $2500 in debt.

Because of moving, my JobSeeker payments have been decreased by over $100 a fortnight until Centrelink approves my lease paperwork and I can get rent assistance again.

I'm in a new house with a new landlord, and am barely able to make rent at the moment, let alone cover bills and food.

I hate asking, but please consider helping if you can - I'd be super grateful.

The jobseeker payment is slated to increase by $56 a fortnight on 20 September, when the $40 a fortnight increase announced in the budget will come into effect, as well as 2.2% indexation for cost of living.

For some unknown reason my #JobSeeker has been decreased by over $100/fortnight without any notice or explanation.

I'm currently sitting in #Centrelink trying to get some information after being kept on hold for 2.5 hours.

Please cross fingers for me, because I don't know what I'm going to do if this isn't just an error. I can't survive on what I get now, let alone if it's decreased by that much.

On that note, I'm still casually seeking work. My happy place is modern front-end #JavaScript and #typescript frameworks.

I'd prefer to land a 100% #RemoteWork position with a small-to-midsize company (start-ups are great! Remote is non-negotiable!) that actively promotes and supports social good. This includes areas such as climate initiatives, gender and racial equity, public health, education, and literacy. Nonprofit organizations would be a plus!
