Due to the #JobSeeking , I opened a LinkedIn account. It's the first time I ever use a corporate social network.

It's so weird!

Posts show up in some inscrutable order. Constant emails telling me to connect to that person or to do some other thing to keep me on the site. Alerts when some rando I never interacted with and didn't want to did a post. Alerts about the "analytics" of my own posts or my own profile, telling me how often I have been viewed.

I've seen drug pushers less pushy than this. Back to Mastodon and IRC I go.

I just want the job board, man.

So @Not_mermista is helping with the #JobSeeking. Reading job descriptions, she asks,

"What's a strongly typed language? Is it one in which you type like this? [see Exhibit A] Do you use this? Is this why your muscles are so strong?"

Oh, yeah. I'm feeling ready to more publicly talk about this.

I'm looking for a job.

I'm pretty good with the codes. The Python codes, the C++ codes, the Node.js/Javascript codes. I know databases and caches and message queues and continuous integrations and clouds and assemblers and compilers and debuggers and linkers and unices. I can build, I can document, I can debug, I can design, I can test, I can teach, I can mentor, I can analyse, I can reverse engineer. Been doing this for a while. I'm on the older side of things.

Pretty good with numbers too. If for some reason you want me to solve a partial differential equation, I'm on it. I can also do stats and I'll even do it if you prefer to call it data science.

I live in Canada, so that's where I need to get hired. I prefer remote, but if you want me to into an office, it's going to have to be in Montreal.
