Just finished “Hidden Pictures” by Jason Relulak. Very good story in my opinion and I really liked the main character. The ending was kinda surprising for me (positively). I hope that author is gonna write some new #horror #novel. Now it’s time for some #CliveBarker on Kindle and #IAmReading still #JoeAbercrombie (but it’s a physical copy so I only read that at home).

I appreciate that #JoeAbercrombie can write a chapter introducing half a dozen new characters and by the end they are each distinct and memorable—by name—when I finish. It’s an important skill for a writer, especially in genre fiction, and he’s very good at it. #BeforeTheyAreHanged #FirstLawTrilogy

If they ever make a show or film from @LordGrimdark’s novels, I hope all the battle scenes are soundtracked by #RussianCircles (and the rest by #TrentReznor and #AtticusRoss of course). #JoeAbercrombie #books #fantasy #fantasybooks

A skillfully-written, fast-reading, character-driven example of the genre. Each chapter has a title, and for good reason: they can each be read as (almost) standalone short stories. I particularly liked intertwined journeys of the major characters, told in just about alternate chapters, as they get closer to the kickoff of their quest. /1

I finished book one earlier this year, and started book two in December but haven’t finished it yet.

Not a whole lot to say here. These are some of the most popular books in #fantasy. I get the broad appeal, and I’m enjoying them. They’re polished and easy to get into. But they’re also a little bland.

I mean, that’s what I was looking for, something extremely low-effort but rewarding. So… success?

📖 Harry Potter y la Orden del Fénix, de Nadie en particular (adoro la saga en general, pero este me marcó).
📖 Canción de navidad, de #CharlesDickens (un clásico que adoro releer, y más en estas fechas).
📖 Asesino real, de #RobinHobb (y toda la saga del Vatídico y el profeta blanco).
📖 Medio Rey, de #JoeAbercrombie (y la trilogía de El mar quebrado, que es increíble)
📖 It, de #StephenKing (recuerdo acabar llorando el libro).
