I first heard "Dear Lord" on the "Transition" LP, sandwiched between the title track and the "Prayer & Meditation" suite. "Dear Lord" was this calm, indrawn breath, between the two power pieces before and after. Just striking. You knew what they could do, and yet, here's this beautiful interlude. A tiger, purring peacefully.
