Quasiment une heure pour mettre en place le monstre (avoir dégrappé les pièces sans les connaîtres et mélangé les cartes qu'il ne fallait pas n'a pas aidé 😁).
Reste à l'affronter… 😍👹

I spent almost one hour just to setup my first solo scenario of this monster game, starting from randomly packed game, which did not help 😉.
Now, I shall tame the beast…

Game 2 of solo went much worse. I rolled four Events in India for each of the first two turns, resulting in most of the subcontinent being closed off and what small foothold I had being overrun by a Foreign Invasion. The rest of the game was largely trying to stop The Crown from tanking the company, which ended in bankruptcy in spite of my efforts. I just couldn't fill enough orders to make up for those early losses.

It only took the whole night, but I made it through my first solo game of . The original plan was just to set it up and read the rules, but, well, y'know.

I played on easy, which is good because it's the only reason I won. I'll have to be better about managing the favor cubes the next time I play.

Tried John Company for the first time, and I quite liked it. It has a unique balance of cooperative gameplay, while still trying to give yourself the upper hand, via bargaining, or gentle pressure. I have some criticism about end of game accounting (slightly too luck based), but still, a really good game overall.

I won by accidentally bankrupting the company.
