I decided to start my #ChristmasNovel. #TheBoxOfDelights by #JohnMasefield, first published in 1935, really evokes the magic of #Christmas whilst having quite a sinister atmosphere. I have vague memories of watching a BBC series as a kid back in the 80s, which scared me due to all the talk about 'the wolves running'. I also love the rhyming chapter descriptions...
