Rabbie and the gang being returned to the roof of the Citizen's Theatre on the southside of Glasgow.

These six statues (Robert Burns, William Shakeapeare, and the four Greek muses Melpomene, Thalia, Euterpe and Terpsichore), were created by the legendary Glasgow sculptor John Mossman when the theatre was built in1878. Almost a century later they were removed after the original building was condemned following a fire.

Lyre surrounded by dolphinfish and topped by a swan(?) On the La Belle Place elevation of the former Queens Rooms beside Kelvingrove Park. Built in 1857, the sculptures on this building are by the great John Mossman assisted by Walter Buchan.

The main facade to the former St Andrew's Halls on Granville Street in Glasgow.

Heavily influenced by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson, these neoclassical halls were designed by James Sellars, with sculptures by the legendary John Mossman, and were built in 1877. The two Atlantes by the doors were by William Mossman

Gargoyle emerging from the roof over the entrance to the old Lansdowne Parish Church. I believe this is the work of John Mossman, the sculptor responsible for many of the amazing bits of stonework to be found around Glasgow.

Worn and damaged stonework on the A listed Lansdowne Parish Church on Great Western Road in Glasgow. Created by John Mossman, one of Glasgow's more famous architectural sculptors, you can just about still see how brilliant this detail would once have been with a wonderful little bird emerging from the corner on the left, now sadly gone.
