Just completed my re-read of #JohnOstrander's #TheSpectre. Having returned to it after reading everything that came before, my love and respect for this run have more than redoubled. Its definitely the epitome of #JimCorrigan's stories, if not all Spectre stories.

Now onto uncharted waters (for me, at least) as I continue my comprehensive canonical read-through with #HalJordan and #CrispusAllen's runs.

I appreciate how #JohnOstrander rebooted #PercivalPoppSuperCop to be a lovable oaf of a joke in his run of #TheSpectre. His version is MILES better than the original.

That said, the way Jim Corrigan treated his old partner, Waylon, when he took on Percival as his new partner just goes to show how much of an ass Jim was.

Just finished my first read-through of #DougMoench's #TheSpectre #comicbook series. I can definitely see why it isn't talked about very much. I felt it had a strong start with a new status quo for #JimCorrigan and the Spectre but by the time it gets to Cryptica Crimes Limited, I started to check out. Moench just doubled down on the high strangeness and I wasn't vibing with it. And the series ends on a pretty grim note, too.

6/10 as far as Spectre runs go. Onto #JohnOstrander...yay!

Still making my way through the #DougMoench run of #TheSpectre. I can sort of understand why it's not talked about as much as the #JohnOstrander run, but I still enjoy it.

I like the rapport Moench built up between the Spectre and #MadameXanadu. I'm not a huge fan of the change of #JimCorrigan's personality from previous and subsequent appearances, but I like the story structure of him running a private investigation business.

Overall, not too bad an entry.
