I think it says more about society than it does sci fi. I haven't read it yet, but #JohnVervaeke co-wrote a book proposing that the proliferation of zombie movies is a manifestation of a loss of meaning a lot of us feel today. That makes sense to me.

Someone with an obvious need for internal shadow work, acting like he's the final word on these things, telling young guys that shadow work means pointing out the wrongs in society. He's basically teaching them to give in to projection and scapegoating behavior. Other takes welcome.

I've just discovered #Neoplatonism via #JohnVervaeke and I am really intrigued. It reminds me very much of #CarlJung's theory of the mind. The fact that it also jibes with Eastern philosophies like #Zen also fascinates me. Good to see other people talking about it. I think society needs this.
