Just over a year ago, in July 2022, the internet was abuzz with the news that #Joni Mitchell had performed at the #NewportFolk Festival. After regular gatherings at Mitchell's home by various artists of a younger generation, who saw her as a major influence on their music, they decided to put their so-called "Joni Jam" live on stage.

Joni Mitchell és probablement la cantautora més estranya i important del segle XX. Arribats a mitjans dels 70 els seus músics li van dir que es busqués algú que fos prou boig com per tocar la música que ella volia fer. Li van recomanar un noiet de Florida, ni més ni menys que Jaco Pastorius. I d'aquí va sortir Hejira. Un disc a mig camí entre el folk i el jazz. En destaco Coyote, amb un baix demencial del gran Jaco.

But perhaps it's so that her direct, bc intense stare doesn't scare Zaz. But she is happy to scare her by jumping after her when she runs by. So I don't know.

One of my favourite early photos of my husband #stevenkennard with #Joni our #bordercollie when she was a #pup. She looks as if butter wouldn't melt. But was, in fact, the puppy from hell (our second BC). I wouldn't trade her for the world. She is now 9.
