Nobody's a bigger #Jorma fan than I, but I wasn't familiar with his first sort-of-solo album, "Quah." It's full of nice stuff, and his music works better with strings than you'd expect.

Jorma Ludwik Kaukonen, Jr. is an American blues, folk, and rock guitarist Kaukonen performed with Jefferson Airplane and still performs regularly on tour with Hot Tuna. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him No. 54 on its list of 100 Greatest Guitarists. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 as a member of Jefferson Airplane.
