@ingalls sounds like it. I’ve been there dozens of time as family live out there. #JoshuaTree is one of a kind even after so many visits, and I’m usually more a fan of forest adventures. There are a ton of storm channels everywhere for just this occasion so hopefully it won’t be catastrophic. People are generally looking forward to the rain.

@enog Driving through #HighDesert, and knowing Joshua Trees only grow in a very narrow range of elevations, I was surprised at how common they are. The original post was taken along Highway 95 north of Searchlight, Nevada; the below picture was taken on California Highway 138 northwest of Cajon Junction. Neither shot really planned; I just stopped the car and started walking, camera in hand.

I have enough #JoshuaTree pictures that I should really create an album.
