Been writing #openstreetmap USA phone number fixups for #josm for a bit. They’re thorough enough now that the residual tags often have some excellent surprises.

Check out this fun one:

Sur #JOSM, je m'aperçois que dans toute une zone, il y a un gros décalage entre les tracés de la couche de données et l'imagerie « Ortho HR IGN 2021 » (cf. images jointes).
Alors que si j'affiche le fond de carte du plan cadastral, il n'y a plus le décalage.
Du coup… qui c'est qui a raison ???

(j'ai déjà remarqué qu'il y a presque toujours un léger décalage mais pas à ce point).

If you #OpenStreetMap in #JOSM in the United States, I've started a validator file that cleaned up ~75% of all the incorrectly formatted phone= tags in Seattle.

I plan on adding more as I have time. If there's a pattern you find particularly rampant, let me know!

et hop, plus de 3000 bornes de recharge électriques intégrées (progressivement par zones et après vérification à la mano) dans osm grâce à mon mappeur de donnés geojson en provenance de du jeu de données datagouv vers #openstreetmap

ce dépôt permet de mapper des propriétés de #geojson à partir d'une configuration en json qui va prendre et transformer les données selon des critères simples ou complexes, le tout en #nodejs et #typescript.
vous pouvez déjà créer vos propres fichiers de configuration de mapping. le script npm start vous montre comment personnaliser la commande de conversion.

on peut ensuite transformer le geojson en fichier osm à utiliser dans l'éditeur #josm avec geojsontoosm.

Trying to import a .csv into #JOSM I get this error message:

"No valid coordinates have been found"

The .csv has one column named xcoord and another named ycoord, and the coordinates are in these columns. What do I need to do to get JOSM to recognize these? Thanks!

There's a plugin in #JOSM that's helpful for that, but I don't think there's any better editor out there.

HOT TM has single web client, https://tasks.hotosm.org/. Sorry if you don't like it, but you can try to write your client. Good luck https://tasks.hotosm.org/api-docs. DAMN has multiple clients for beginner mappers (https://mapper.damn-project.org/), mappers liking integration (https://qa.damn-project.org/panel/), mappers liking manual square locking (https://qa.damn-project.org/mappy/), #JOSM mappers (damn plugin), or area managers (https://manager.damn-project.org/). If you don't like it, good luck writing your client https://server.damn-project.org/docs.

DAMN lives its own live now, but it started as a proof we can do better than HOT TM. When I say HOT TM do it wrong (https://github.com/hotosm/tasking-manager/issues/2283) it's pointless when the statement is not proven (https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/qeef/diary/396811). DAMN is the proof. However, it diverged from what HOT TM is able to do nowadays (no groups or organizations) and aims on mapping (https://damn-project.org/#mapping-workflows), supporting #notathon #JOSM and clients for multiple groups of mappers.

@watmildon Any idea how I can fix the admin boundary around the Guayaquil canton? To illustrate, I'll share the Wikipedia map of the canton, which follows the coastline, vs what I see in #OpenStreetMap via #JOSM --- the boundary goes out to see and is squared off. I assume the Wikipedia map is more accurate.

It seems like the administrative boundary should be clipped to the coastline boundary. I know how to do that know in #QGIS but not in JOSM.

After taking a look at #Ecuador's boundary data from #OpenStreetMap, I found a few missing bits. I also see that my previous hack to fix a coastline had corrupted my local metadata.

I loaded up #JOSM to fix the missing province names on some cantons. I thought I might have to wait for all the map data of Ecuador to download, but no! JOSM has a hidden expert mode that enables Overpass queries like "admin_level=6 in Ecuador", so I was able get just the data I wanted!

@amapanda #JOSM has a reverter plugin which creates a reverted state to manually check and/or to be uploaded.
(There's also a revert_changeset command line utility somewhere but I've been using JOSM for quite a while now for that purpose, easier to verify.)

Taking a stab at #IndoorMapping.

Details:

- 3D outer building
- bottle return vending machines with new key `recycling:refund_bottle_crates=*`
- trolley bays
- indoor doors and one as a motion sensor double swing gate
- some footway highways
- areas for the various shops

Missing:

- restroom areas
- additional amenities like the printer
- some doors
- aisles within the store
- concrete area sizes
