The Leirvassbu Turisthytte (1'400m / 4'600ft) is a mountain lodge in Norwegian National Park Jotunheimen. As you can see from the years on the lodge, it has a long history and after several enlargements can now host over 200 people. As is can reached by car (even busses can get here), it is not a typical mountain hut, but is more used as a basecamp type of accommodation.
You can expect any weather here. This is a picture of our summer holiday in July 2016.

A Mountain plateau at about 1400 meters (4600 feet) above sea level surrounded by higher mountains. Jotunheimen National Park, Norway. To the west, north and east there are much higher mountains. The highest mountain in Jotunheimen are 2469 meter (8184 feet) above sea level.
