I never met Bill Harvey, but have learnt loads about masonry bridges through his Bridge of the Month blog. His memorial service was in Exeter Cathedral recently. This blog post recounts one of his more unusual projects, designing and building a temporary bridge as a prop in a service at the cathedral. Well worth a read for its joy of life in creativity.

@dani I liked reading #JoyOfLife, better than the drama adaptation. It might be too ML centric, although the story is about Fan Xian afterall, from his perspectives. I have to give credit to the director/screenwriter/actors for doing such a good job in bringing the story to the screen. How they did the scene with the night of 100 poems was excellent and true to the source material. The #cdrama did end in a cliffhanger, it veers from the actual story though, which is a shame.

@Fanua @katela @rLok Both my late parents were in the theatre when they met before they moved on to different things but kept their theatrical friends. My Mam told me an actor whose performance made her loathe them completely had done their acting job perfectly.

Li Qin did that for me in #PrincessAgents #Cdrama so thoroughly that I didn't forgive her until #JoyOfLife, I hated her so much!

I'll have to look for the book now. I didn't before because it was all tied in with allegations of plagiarism.

There are a number of Chinese/Taiwanese actors that have that ability, they are so good!

@WildWalker @katela @rLok I liked Joy of Life, too, good #cdrama. Since it ended on a cliffhanger scenario not exactly how it was in the book, I read the entire novel. I think the novel is better than the drama. The novel ends in a way that a sequel is possible. #JoyOfLife
