@starshine the closest to this was #FirefoxOS, where aside from the underlying #Linux kernel and drivers [aka. "#Gonk"] Everything else was the "Gaia" UI running in #Gecko.
Basically every app is only #HTML5 + #CSS3 + #JS6!
