We are approaching the peak of #hurricane season in the Atlantic, and there are a lot of us new to #JS8Call.
Might it not be a good idea to do a hurricane drill so we can practice messaging in JS8Call? Could also incorporate #APRS & #Winlink.
I suggest this Sunday. We all pretend we have no power Internet and we pass drill traffic to each other.
Anybody in?
It's important that any traffic we send would be clearly marked as DRILL DRILL DRILL.

With more words, assuming I have never used JS8Call before, explain to me what you think this KD2HZG person wants me to do.
'Cuz here's the thing, I've sent or received probably a couple dozen inbox messages before via JS8Call, and I can't figure out what this guy wants me to do, precisely, exactly.

I've not ever seen that much activity on #JS8 like today. #20m has been busy with members of the Fedi group (@n6cta @k2za) and others, many apparently just having read the #JS8CALL manual, and trying out different commands. Also, quite some international presence from Australia, Argentina, Sweden, Mexico.
Okay #js8call people, what am I doing wrong? It looks like these are FAST messages based on the timing but with the default time.windows ntp sync and trying the time drift options, I am not decoding squat. I am on 14.280 USB. FT8 in #wsjtx works fine.

Thinking about getting the #QRP #KitRadio for #HamRadio Digital modes, especially interested in #JS8Call. I think to get my feet wet, I'm going to go with the #QRPLabs QDX transceiver. Which band selection would be best to start and why?

I’m definitely a firm believer in the power of JS8Call. Hadn’t got down to the radio shack for a couple of days, found a message from VK2ZTY, they’re running 5 watts from a QRPLabs QDX. I’m running 5 watts from a Hermes-Lite SDR transceiver. I wish I’d been down here to reply, it would have been my first QRP QSO with Australia! 9615 miles with a ground mounted trap vertical.
Grrr. Trying to use #JS8Call and it keeps throwing HamLib rig control errors when I try to Tx, even though I've been using WSJTX on FT8 via Flrig just fine all evening.
