Very cold glass, tray of ice pounded to snow, couple teaspoons of sugar in the bottom, & similar amount water. Stir. + ~6 mint leaves; muddle lightly. Pack glass with the ice. Add bourbon or w/e to your liking. Add more ice. Add your float of more booze if you want. Poke holes with your big straw for it & several more mint sprigs. Insert sprigs & straw.
