Enjoying the early stages of my reread of The Many-Coloured Land by Julian May. The first of the 8 books in the Saga of the Exiles & Galactic Milieu story (8 books as published in the UK).

It’s an astonishing story arc. I recall gasping out loud the first time I read the end of Intervention.

I think some people have a dim view of it when looked at from current times, but it’s a work by a mid-twentieth century author. And she is a genius in my book.

I’ve started a reread of the complete Julian May sci-fantasy Saga of Pliocene Exiles and Galactic Milieu novels. There are eight hefty novels in total. Telling a story that stretches across both time and space.

It’s a remarkable thing. It’s a mystery to me that it hasn’t got adapted for prestige TV. It has all the epic fantasy and future technology big adaptions thrive on.

Sometimes when I have so many unread books in my e-reader, I get paralysed by choice and end up re-reading a book I love instead.
This feeling is currently building and I have a feeling I may end up diving back in to Julian May's Saga of Pliocene Exile and Milieu Series, which I have read at least 8 times in the last 25 years.
