There's a few albums I'm prone to tooting about over and over cause I love them so much.

'Mariner' by Cult Of Luna & Julie Christmas is one such album.

It has the doomy, atmospheric Post-Metal sounds of Cult Of Luna, with some really fantastic and unusual vocals from Julie Christmas.

Her background is apparently in noise rock, and the style here runs the full gamut from clean singing to shrieking and yelling.

Let's start this #MetalMonday with Swedish export Cult of Luna. The whole album Mariner with Julie Christmas on vocals is excellent, but The Wreck of S.S. Needle is the exclamation mark.
