This is our second July 4th here in Winston Salem, but our first at home as last year the wife and I went to Washington DC for the 4th of July.
This year, we set in our driveway and watched people around the neighborhood pop fireworks.
People started popping them around 8pm or so, but then by 11pm it seemed they were pretty much done for the night, which was nice.

As others so-called “celebrate” it’s really fun here having to constantly view our yard and roof in case any combustible lands. Yes, every July 4 there are fires in Phoenix from all this “fun”.

“A quick analysis of a typical South Salem neighborhood shows that a noise with a 1/4 mile radius affects 680 buildings. Building can be businesses, sheds, schools, or apartment buildings. But at an average occupancy of 2 people per home, that’s 1360 people being disturbed by one person’s "fun"
