On the subject of the #Boeing747, the #JumboJet is the logistics backbone for all of #F1's air freight. About 6 to 7 B747 freighters are required for every fly-away (non-European) Grand Prix.

It's the end of an era. 😭

More than 54 years after the first Boeing 747 rolled out of the then newly built factory at Everett in 1968, the last Jumbo Jet, a B747-8F built for Atlas Air, was completed and rolled out of the factory last night.

In all, 1547 Jumbos have been built, including the one pictured here. Passenger variants are far and few between now, but the freighter versions will continue to fly for hopefully decades to come. 🙏
