Replaced one router for a customer this evening as a remote hand. The redundant one got hit by the CVE-2022-22209 bug as we shitted the old one. Patching the boxes now…

Anyway, Hatherly was charged with mischief. Personally, I charge her with heroism. To me this brings back echoes of Brigette DePape's "Stop Harper" sign, and it's fantastic.

Forewarned that Nickelback would be there, I avoided the Junos last night. But the talk today is all about a topless protestor named Casey Hatherly jumping on stage with Avril Lavigne. They had "Land Back" written on their arms and "Save the Greenbelt" on their back.

Now I kind of regret not watching.

It's one thing to watch the Junos, but another thing entirely watching the Junos get interrupted.

All the reports and comments I had seen about the topless protester was that she was just protesting about the Green Belt in Ontario.

But now I see in this picture/article she also had "Stop Logging Old Growth Now" on her back.

From one end of the country to the other... plenty of nature to try to protect from complicit governments!

Good for her!! And good on Avril for handling it like a champ.

I'm not very familiar with Avril Lavigne. But, choosing to vilify a protester who seeks to bring attention to preserving the Greenbelt doesn't strike me as being particularly admirable or cool.

I admit I haven't paid much attention to the #JunoAwards before, but given how often speeches at American awards have at least some political messaging, I have to say I'm a little disappointed at how sterile the #Junos felt in comparison outside of the lone protestor.

So extra props to her.

Gotta say, it's really cool to see how a live awards show is produced.

Especially unexpected events like a topless #LandBack protestor. ✊
