@tek maybe the fediverse platforms could have word blocking or muting at the instance level where people can share community curated wordlists like we do for ad regexes, so perhaps it's not always whole instances getting axed off. So even new instances suddenly spewing vile stuff will seem quiet and substantially polite. #justathought

I appreciate my friends, and there are friends I don't talk to very often because of hectic schedules, and geographic locations. However, if you're a good friend to me, I make that known and let you know how I appreciate our friendship. I'm not the kind of person to be superficial, so when I get a message from a friend that I haven't heard in a long while, I get excited. Only this time, I got to listen to a near 15-minute whats app message where someone spoke about their recently upgraded technology.
Really? How about life? Has it been good? I hope so. How about your family. are you even interested in anything going on in my life?

really, what is the problem with deep conversation, and last I checked, people are still the go-to if you're wanting any form of companionship. The computer will still be there, but people aren't forever. find the time to interact with the person with whom you're blabbing to. Find out about them, how are they doing? Take the time to actually care. Otherwise, you've sent a long voice file talking about things that obviously are of higher priority than the friend with whom you're conversing. #JustaThought. :)

I read "How do you like me now?" by Holly Bourne this week and I thought to myself: are there really no books about the good things in social media?? I'm sic and tired of all the vining about dickpics and how everything is so unreal in there.

I also had a thought that what if some people just think differently, seeing the two realities and living in both? I guess some people are more flexible with the idea of the reality and imagination being mixed up.

I think a lot of people don’t like soccer because they equate points with action. But that is off base. A 0-0 tie can still be incredibly exciting. I think a good #mls game would be a better introduction than a lot of top 4 premier league teams playing a bottom of the table club. #justathought

This is just a small thing, but something I only noticed this time around. When Brian and Betsy are fighting over the sword, I think Jamie is the one who moves it with his powers and stabs Brian. It’s clearly just a little bit of revenge on his part, and since he can (and does) bring him back, it’s obviously just a game for Jamie.
