Building new transmission is crucial towards getting a huge economy like in the U.S. down to net-zero GHG emissions, but there are vested interests and NIMBYism road blocks that we may not be able to politically navigate depending on next year's election turnout.

Won't have any idea until someone builds a thorium plant in the U.S. so that we can see how expensive they are and how long it takes to go from paper to producing power.
