Community defense is about so much more than how we train at the range. It is about bystander intervention and de-escalation in situations like these.

Community defense is about trying to fill in the holes left by the capitalist system. Jordan Neely needed a meal, mental health services, and a safe place to live, not to get strangled to death.

This incident is a prime example of failure borne by the NYS and NYC government. These governmental entities have failed to ensure this citizen was provided housing, healthcare, and food. Each of these are basic human rights that are ignored daily city, state, and nation wide. It is up to we who are here to make sure this never happens again. #JusticeForJordanNeely
