Tennessee Supreme Court declares state’s mandatory life sentence for juvenile homicide offenders unconstitutional

Note that retired Justice William Koch sat specially to hear this case, after J. Cornelia Clark's untimely death, and it was a 3-2 opinion, with J. Jeffrey Bivens and J. Roger Page dissenting.
