Have you tried looking for the #ProtonMail client on #Fdroid with no prevail. There is a simple solution, just add their website login portal to the home screen:

(For some reason they hide the direct link on their mobile homepage.)

The complex solution is to use your personal server as a bridge between ProtonMail and #K9Mail. For details checkout this post:

Antes estaba usando #typeapp que está bastante bien.
Pero le he encontrado al K9 más sencillo de usar.

@thunderbird Looks good on screenshots. No more 90s #netscape look (I know it was a browser) and it seems now it's usable for me 👍 To the older versions my brain always said no. ... I don't know if I will try it, because my web login works superb. Maybe when my actual #android client #k9mail will be renamed to #thunderbird then I could use it on desktop as well. Let's see.

#Thunderbird and #Vivaldi mail client failed me but #Kmail let me access my old #Hotmail accounts. I can still get to them using #K9Mail and, of course with #Outlook. It's frustrating. My oldest email addresses are giving me fits.

I reinstalled #K9mail after using another #email app for years on my #Android phones.

The other app started using WAY too much battery, so I decided to shop around and landed back on K-9 Mail. I will find out soon enough if it eats up the battery on my #Pixel like the other app was.

I was delighted to discover K-9 Mail will become #Thunderbird for Android. I had no idea that was happening!

I've been slowly moving away from GMail, and doing more and more stuff with my personal email address.

I've been using #K9Mail on my phone for nearly a year now, but today I put #Thunderbird on my desktop.

This is the first time in many, many years I've had an email client installed and, my goodness, what a lovely program Thunderbird is these days.

It seems the producers of #AquaMail changed their mind and the support for #aquamailpro will continue - at least for now.
Anyway, too late, I'll continue to test #Fairmail (and #k9mail).

Especially thanks to @strelitzer I started to play with #Fairmail. No final conclusion, but at second glance it's pretty great. So far, like it a bit more than #k9mail. I'm considering to get #FairmailPro.
After the #AquaMail fuck up this is a serious alternative for me.

Schade, aber so kann man tolle Apps oder Software auch kaputt machen.
